SAUNARAKENNUS UIMA-ALTAALLA
Uuden omakotitalon läheisyyteen haluttiin rakentaa vanhaan pihapiiriin sopiva, mutta moderni saunarakennus takkahuoneineen ja uima-altaineen. Saunarakennuksessa on saunan, pesuhuoneen, takkahuoneen ja minikeittiön lisäksi katettu ulko-uima-allas, jonka saa tarvittaessa suljettua liukuovilla.
Pääovesta astutaan sisään takkahuoneeseen, joka on korkea harjaan asti avoinna oleva ilmava tila, jota rytmittävät rustiikkiset, jykevät kattopalkit. Takkahuoneen toisella reunalla voi astua lasiliukuovesta rakennuksen koko sivun pituiselle terassille, jossa on mukava vilvoitella löylyjen jälkeen tai josta pääsee rakennuksen toisessa päässä sijaitsevalle uima-altaalle.
Saunasta avautuu upea rauhallinen näkymä pitkälle peltojen yli suuren maisemaikkunan kautta. Lauteilla on hyvin tilaa ja niillä mahtuu lepäilemään vaikka pidempikin ihminen.
Punainen saunarakennus ”keskustelee” viereisen uuden asuinrakennuksen kanssa. Niissä on samoja elementtejä, vaikka molemmat rakennukset ovatkin yksilöllisiä tyyliltään.
Saunarakennuksesta tehtiin suunnitteluvaiheessa videoanimaatio, jonka avulla voitiin tutkia rakennuksen sopivuutta tontille ja päärakennuksen läheisyyteen – sekä rakennuksen ilmettä eri suunnista katseltuna.

The aim was to build a modern sauna building with a fireplace room and swimming pool that would fit in with the old courtyard, but would be suitable for the new house.
In addition to the sauna, the building has a washroom, fireplace room and kitchenette, as well as a covered outdoor swimming pool that can be closed off with sliding doors if necessary.
The sauna offers a wonderful, peaceful view far over the fields through a large panoramic window. The benches are spacious and can accommodate even taller people.
The fireplace room is a high, airy space that is open to the ridge, punctuated by rustic, sturdy ceiling beams. The sliding door opens onto a terrace that runs the entire length of the building, where it is nice to cool off after a sauna or from which you can access the swimming pool at the other end of the building.
The red sauna building “converses” with the new residential building next door. They have the same elements, although both buildings are unique in style.
A video animation was made of the sauna building during the design phase, which allowed us to examine the building's suitability for the plot and proximity to the main building - as well as the appearance of the building when viewed from different directions.
